brown water. really really brown.
worse than just being sick:
being sick and finally falling asleep, only to be awoken at three a.m. because it's raining in your apartment. raining nasty brown water across the entire width of the kitchen, most of the length of the drawing room, and various other places.
we scrabbled to put every pot, bowl, and baking pan to use catching the water; called the landlord (who was also freaked and baffled); moved as much stuff getting rained on as possible; and finally found out, after turning off the water main, that the dumb bitch who lives up stairs (we can officially call her that now, i think) left the hot water running in her sink and fell asleep. when michael (our landlord) went upstairs, only her boyfriend was there because, apparently, she'd gone out to the convenience store. apparently, there were inches of water across her living room floor. unless she went to get some kind of miracle mop, i fail to see the point.
luckily things seem to be under control now. the water's slowly dying down, and hopefully we'll get back to sleep at some point. bleh. just bleh.
