bryiarrosewish it was possible to type while wearing mittens. then the labs would at least seem more pleasant.
i'm exhausted. did not go to bed at any kind of reasonable hour last night. did not get quite enough work done to justify how late i was up. i blame it all on the singers-rehearsal-from-hell which ate six hours of my night. (not that it was terrible, just that i could have used those six hours for better things.)
i used my motion sickness relief band for what may have been it's first real use last night. (i guess i haven't traveled much in the last two or three years when i wasn't the one driving. hmm.) at any rate, it seemed to work decently well. stopped me from feeling dreadful on the bus on the way up once i'd begun to, even allowed me to read a little bit... something i haven't been able to do much for a long time now though i read all the way to california and back when i was younger. so it was a good thing. debated about some aspects of carleton with alex, which was also good. he's a good kid really.
the rehearsal itself, was not the worst thing ever. it was just much too long. a nice surprise was seeing my choir director from high school walk in just before the start though. apparently he's still working at macalaster (having retired a year after i'd graduated) which i didn't know he was doing long term. it took him a long moment to recognize me, i think in part due to the hair, but then he had his same old half-familiar half-disconcerned air that he's always had when not in constant interaction with someone. it was good to see him, either way. definitely one of the people i've looked up to. but enough babble.
now to go work on the proposal for my cs project that needs to be done in about an hour. would much rather go home, reply to comments, and then go back to bed. but, since typing this much has seemed to do a bit of the waking up that my meds have failed at today, i will be responsible and (hopefully) productive.
two more weeks... i just have to keep reminding myself.
