the woods are lovely, dark and deep

bryiarrosethere's something about the smell of rain in the spring night that's always good for the soul.
i took myself out for what turned out to be the tail end of toshi reagan's set at the cave tonight. from what i heard it was a damn good set which i'm sad not to have caught more of, but that's what i get for assuming that nothing at the cave ever starts on time.
the rest of the night i spent walking around enjoying the brand new spring we've stumbled into. it sprinkled just after sundown and the whole world smells perfect at the moment. add to that the trees suddenly beginning to bud and things trying to grow... it's like finally taking a breath again after not breathing for so long.
in unrelated news, it's barrie osborne weekend at carleton. of course i forgot this--silly me--and so slept through convo this morning and the q&a session he had afterwards. am contemplating waking up to go watch cutter's way with barrie and (most likely) the entirety of the carleton population. the movie isn't so much the tempting part, but the promise of soda, popcorn, candy, and drawings for lotr merchandise make me think going might be worth it. though i'm sure barrie won't be there, i do intend to hit up at least one sumo showing tomorrow night to catch rotk--any one that wants to come along with me is more than welcome. :)
and now i'm going to curl up with stacy, clinton, and what not to wear.
