i just keep on living
May. 21st, 2004 12:09 amso i played at the cave tonight, all last minute like. no seriously, found out yesterday that i was but didn't find out when until tonight. shortly after which, i sent out the following
what are you doing right now?
drop it and come to the cave.
Rose 9-9:30 or so, then some other bands.
you know you want to.
that's tonight, thursday, in oh, say 20 minutes.
i'll be flustered and have lots of eye-makeup. it'll be fun. promise.
and it was.
started late (as most everything does at the cave) and played an upbeat little set in which i announced that in lieu of being healthy and having practiced i was wearing tight clothes and lots of eye-makeup. because that's how it works right?

set list - cave 5/20/04
how do i begin
take to the sky (tori)
spin
what would you
who's gonna ride your wild horses (u2)
only up to me
-----------------------
the u2 cover was requested by two of the people there, and despite not really having played it in months, i went for it. my cautionary warning that i was bound to forget the chords and words to the bridge was apt, but all around it was silly and fun and it's good for me to get used to playing off the cuff like i did tonight. i mean, hey, if i plan to be a "real musician" someday soon, that's part of what it's about. right? i've no idea. honestly.
singers concert tomorrow night, i'm soloing on some of the jazz stuff. should be alright. then in theory
zennerthanyou should show up at some point and spring concert goodness should be had by all on saturday. i'm thinking about making yummy frozen drinks. i mean hell, why not.
ooh post-show adrenaline how i love you. yum.
on the horizon: attempting to pass my classes, recording with the accidentals, figuring out how in the world i live my life, and determining whether or not i am having an existential crisis as has been suggested (hee).
*kisses friendslist, etc*
