america needs a nap time.

i swear, the new pornographers are the only thing keeping me awake today.

it's one of those days where it's cool and grey enough that all you want to do is lay in bed and read and nap and read and nap some more. but i can't. and there's nothing really caffinated in the house. the obvious solution would be to put the new pornographers on the ipod and go to the store where they have plenty of caffiene. *sigh* why oh why are there papers to be written? these are the days when i'd be perfectly happy to be back waiting tables and not doing much else. today would be a quiet empty day in most any restaurant and whatever customers did come in would be as easily managed as the day. plus there would be plenty of free coke. i'm pathetic, i realize, and just longing for a different sort of life. but my dreams last night were the disquieting sort where i flail out at things that aren't really there and wake myself up feeling foolish for dreaming so deeply.
