perhaps i'm hopless. or perhaps i just hope for something better.

can't sleep. can't explain it even. perhaps there are too many things tugging at the corners of my mind for it to settle into sleep.

for when i stop and think of it, there are so many things i should do that i never seem to find the moments to. life never slows down, and things never get easier. well. that's not entirely true. but as close to truth as you can get when you can't sleep and three a.m. is staring down into your soul.

I have decided I don't believe in the tyranny of "should".

Nevertheless, I cried myself to sleep and woke at 5 am to do all the things I "should" do before going out of town for five days.
