a list of lists, good v. bad, that i've been meaning to type out for quite a few days.
good: most of my stuff is moved in and somewhat unpacked.
bad: there's still more to move, sell, toss, and clean.
good: i have til the end of the month to do the above.
good: my beautiful darling new apartment.
bad: the level of noise the low end of the blb's sound system has been putting out late at night.
good: my landlord was shocked to hear about the noise level, and it should change asap.
bad: i kind of feel like a spoil sport.
good: i know it really is too loud--up here and down there--and i'd rather they get in trouble with my landlord than the city.
bad: packing the boy off to the east coast. which is very far away.
good: his car made it all the way out there and didn't break down in fuckwisconsin.
bad: i miss him.
good: i'll probably head out east to visit in october.
weird: not living with someone after having done for so long.
also weird: the idea of learning to flirt again. or something.
good: finally taking the cat to the vet.
bad: the potentially scary cost of his dental.
good: the cat's teeth will be much healthier
bad: figuring out how to eat and pay bills for the rest of the month
good: i have stuff i need to sell anyhow
good: i've officially lost over twenty pounds since the last week of april when i started sleeping more normally again.
bad: my sleep schedule has been all screwed up the past two weeks and getting up in the mornings is painful.
good: i'm still losing a couple of pounds a week, and i haven't even started doing yoga again. (now that i have space for it!)
that's a lot of stuff to skim over, but skimming is kind of where i'm at right now.
and because he's doing at the moment, i feel compelled to add that the cat has climbed more in the new place this week than i've ever seen him do. he also thinks it's time for bed. it's just odd that my cat feels the need to tell me when i should be in bed. but honestly, he's not wrong.

On Flirting
Date: 2006-08-14 12:39 pm (UTC)Real flirting: The type that gets you what you want and where you want to go.
Play flirting: The type of flirting one does to make sure she still can. As in just for the fun of it. The difficult thing about this type of flirting is that it requires a play-flirting partner who *knows* this is completely flirting for flirting's sake. I've had three excellent play-flirting partners in my life am a little sad I currently don't have one.
Sport flirting: The type of flirting one does that is completely play for her, but the one person has no idea that she is not serious. It is a little like hunting, and a little mean, but seems appropriate in some circumstances. (Like most parties.)
