by any chance, would one of you know more about vladimir kagan (and how one might identify a piece of his) than i have been able to glean from the internet and his book?

if so, hit me up.
i know it's not likely, but i also realize that many of you actually know stuff.

i've had this enormous sofa for a couple of years now, in major need of reupholstery and tlc, that about a month ago when we had a garage sale a neighbor came over with a magazine with a photo of our couch and told us it was a kagan serpentine. i didn't pay a whole lot of attention then, other than thinking it was cool. but. kagan's a big deal. it's not quite a classic serpentine, and i have my doubts about whether it's really his. haven't been able to catch our neighbor home again to ask which magazine it was, and kagan's provenance fee is $500--way out this couch's league at the moment. *shrug* cool, definitely. also a pain that i'll probably have to find guys to help move it this week.
