the jackhammers actually woke me today, and made me go looking for a certain poem by claudia mauro. found it, but this one too.

What You See(k)

Rustle of dry grass
A curved stick
Trickle of flashing water
Tree branches waving
Look for Rattlesnake and
Everything becomes
Rattlesnake.

seems a good reminder when my hormones have made me as out of sorts as i've been the past couple of days.
even if i know it's the case, and cause, it's still not enjoyable.

1. you working tonight?
2. if 1 = true, can i bring you a treat and stop to say hi?
3. if 1 = false, would you be interested in watching a movie?

rawr. sorry i didn't get back to this yesterday! it was kind of a long crazy day. i work sun-thurs (off fri & sat) and am there until we close at nine most nights. any time you'd like to stop in is fine, you'll probably have to ask them to find me in the back though. i would love to watch a movie sometime.. this week promises to be a bit hectic besides work though. :)

I love that song. It makes me sad, but in a sweet wistful way.

i love it too. my ex-bandmates used to argue with me about it, they claimed it was the most depressing song ever, and i never agreed--there's too much hope in it for depression to be the ruling theme.
