for those of you with grades from carleton (though i know it's not many), they're up.
i've got extensions in two classes still, but i passed singers (big surprise), got an A- in voice and a B+ in history. none of those terribly unexpected, but good to know about anyhow. so far, i've done well. now to just get off my ass and finish papers for the other two classes.

in the world of unco... i'm spending lots of time by myself in the costume shop. it's a cast of ten and we have a company of sixteen, so you do the math. it's fine though. i don't mind spending time down there alone. it's peaceful. and solitary isn't always a bad thing.
i have a great room in wilson house, though i've barely begun to move in. pretty soon the accusations about me not wanting to 'be a part of the company' will start in earnest. it's just that all my stuff is still here and we have central air and i'm addicted to my computer. plus i sleep too much.
didn't wake up today, even though i fell asleep on the couch last night before two. actually, i did wake up-- at 8:30 when ian came home. i decided then that going to sleep in my bed for a couple of hours would be a good idea. and suddenly it was five pm. plus i had terrible dreams on top of it. i think my subconscious knew i shouldn't be sleeping and was punishing me.
i should have been at the post office picking up what i assume to be my printer and base station. at least according to the fed ex tracking stuff i should have two packages waiting for me tomorrow. and they claim my pretty baby computer should come Friday. what i can't figure out is why it would go from taiwan to alaska and back to taiwan before coming here. taiwan is not closer to northfield. at least as far as i know.
anyhow. if i can sleep i will, otherwise i'll just stay up all night and such. be tired tomorrow. i'm determined to get my sleep schedule back on track. even if i have to go sleep in wilson on the stupid little bed and have someone wake me up to do it. and i will work out with brett and shosh and not sleep through it like i did today. blah. stupid me and my stupid un-diagnosed sleep disorder. i don't want to sleep more damnit!

on a completely different note. for other sims addicts, i would like to point out what came to my knowledge today. sims 2 is coming! and wow do the updates sound cool. sims that age, genetic lineage, the list goes on. can it be 2004 now?

oh. and. after not being able to get rights to do bobrauschenbergamerica (at least we never heard back from chuck mee), we now can't get the rights to do the foreigner-- our replacement play. so we have to pick out yet another one. any suggestions people?

this is by far long enough. look at it this way, it's one big post rather than lots of little ones. right?

The FedEx tracking data appears to go from Taiwan to Alaska back to Taiwan because of time zones and date changes. When they cross the International Date Line just west of Alaska, all the dates get confused. I wondered about that myself as I was tracking my lovely Apple products. One day I woke up and decided to track my iPod, and not 30 minutes later, FedEx was knocking on my door. Happiness.

I am far too excited about Sims 2.

I've been playing Superstar whenever I can find the time and there is a rumor that they will drop another expansion pack called Spellbound in October before Sims 2 comes out. That kind of pisses me off because I am going to end up buying it and Sims 2(yes, i know I have a problem, but I did refrain from buying Deluxe), but by the time that comes around, I will have exhausted the little storylines in Superstar and I will need something else.

oh, believe me, i understand. if i had the money (and the disk space) i would have them all. unfortunately that whole broke and busy college student thing has set me back. i'm only up through hot date, but i did lose nearly a whole year of highly addictive game play when i loaded in house party. stupid rose not reading stupid directions like a stupid boy. plus i try to curb my addiction during the school year.

when i get everything transferred over to my powerbook, i intend to make my pc my sims machine. can't wait.

Ah, being broke and in college. I'm getting by because the new EP releases tend to be around my birthday and around Christmas. I had to buy Unleashed and Superstar myself but the rest were gifts. I really want a desktop in January so that I can load all of my games and music on there and free up space on my laptop. Sims 2 sounds great, but I don't know how I feel about the aging thing. I'm more excited about the genetic part. I'm tired of my Sims trying to date their brothers and sisters.
