bryiarrose: (good guy)

i had very strange, highly detailed dreams last night. about the mafia. they had plot, they had bad mafia stuff, they began in baltimore and i think featured a few people i know in walk on parts. i wasn't in them, but that was more than okay. they were really pretty interesting. not the sort of dreams i usually have, and i don't know what to make of it. i can't say i'd like to dream like that on a regular basis, but it was interesting.

today was a lazy lazy day. at least to begin with. slept much later than i should have, lounged around and had a lovely time with [livejournal.com profile] zennerthanyou. after all of my being lazy though i got to run around more than i would have liked. i'll spare you the details and go with the list. baked cookies (which we sold out of tonight, thank you very much), went for change, house managed, helped with strike, etc etc. not hard stuff, it was just a little frantic for me pre-show. it was a good audience tonight. the biggest and perhaps best we've had. lots of praise from the little old folks in the audience, and even the non-little-old-folks. strike went quickly, even though it was a monster set, and people have been hanging out (mostly recovering from last night) since then. tomorrow i have to write what's left of my papers. hopefully i'll wake up early enough to get some work done before going to the theatre at two. moving seat carts... such fun. if i'm smart, i'll be in bed shortly.

and now, a cute story. there were two little girls in the audience tonight who i'd guess were about five and seven, maybe younger. at intermission they apparently snuck back behind the set where they were heard to say: "it sounded like there was a potty back here, but there isn't really." after the show [livejournal.com profile] menwy went on to clock one of them in the head with one of the heavy metal theatre doors. when he asked if she was okay, she told him no. poor kid, but i'm still amused. partly because i'm sure she's alright. any kid that's able to answer 'no' instead of crying, is going to be okay. there you have it.
