survey time.
Oct. 8th, 2003 03:29 amfound this hanging about on my hard drive waiting to be posted. i filled it out awhile back. like, probably a month ago when i still didn't have any kind of home access, and then forgot to post it.
// series one
-- name: Rose
-- birthdate: february 3rd
-- birthplace: minneapolis, mn
-- current location: home
-- eye color: brown
-- hair color: hard to say. i've been told light brown, but that still doesn't seem right. there's gold and red in it too, by turns.
-- righty or lefty: right
-- zodiac sign: aquarius
-- innie or outtie: innie
// series two - describe
-- your heritage: i'm a mutt-- irish, english, german, swedish, swiss, scotch and french at least.
-- the shoes you wore today: no shoes yet.
-- your hair: short, about jaw line. parted to one side. behaving itself for a change.
-- your weakness: the star of my heart. music. love. musicians. chocolate sometimes.
-- your fears: not being strong enough. losing the people i love. never getting out of debt.
-- your perfect pizza: sometimes it's pizza luce's athena pizza without the olives (and peppers? it's been too long.) sometimes it's basil's deep dish cheese. other times it's girodano's stuffed crust spinach. and there's angelo's with the world's largest slice. it depends.
-- one thing you'd like to achieve: achieve sounds so final. there are plenty of things i want to do. i want to sing, and write, and perform. i want to love deeply and have that love returned. i want to finally get around to the quilts that are in my head. i want to be happy. if any of those are things you can achieve, well. it's more than one thing. there isn't just one thing.
// series three - what is
-- your most overused phrase on aol\aim: others can probably answer this better than i can. it may be 'perhaps' or it may be something else. it changes depending on who i'm talking to.
-- your thoughts first waking up: usually don't last long because i go back to sleep. always.
-- the first feature you notice in the opposite sex: again not clear cut. either it's the overall impression they make, or it's different with each.
-- the best name for a butler: mr. butlertron aka mr. b
-- your best physical features: i like most of me. i play to my strengths when i have to. i like my hair, part of why i've never quite been able to bring myself to dye it permanently. i know i have a good smile, it's not quite my mother's, but it's close. i've been told i have pretty eyes. and there's a reason i wear shirts with low necklines.
-- your bedtime: i have a bedtime? why don't people tell me these things. rarely before one or even two. left to my own devices it gravitates towards four or five in the morning.
-- your greatest fear: having to give up what i need.
-- your greatest accomplishment: getting this far.
-- your most missed memory: what does that mean? i have a terrible memory. people will bring up things that happened a year ago that i won't remember. i don't know why that is. some things i remember in perfect detail. there are a lot of memories from baltimore that i could say i miss. and then there are memories of things that never happened.
// series four - you prefer
-- pepsi or coke: coke. no question.
-- mcdonald's or burger king: mcdonald's
-- single or group dates: single dates? not that i've been on many group dates, but those that i have always seem just a titch akward.
-- adidas or nike: neither thanks. docs or angels.
-- lipton ice tea or nestea: no iced tea.
-- chocolate or vanilla: chocolate... but only if it's dark or has peanut butter in it. none of this milk chocolate b.s.
-- cappucino or coffee: mocha.
-- boxers or briefs: depends. usually boxers. but not always.
// series five - do you
-- smoke: can't.
-- cuss: often.
-- sing well: um. well. i'd hope so at this point.
-- take a shower everyday: when i have to.
-- do you think you've been in love: there's no 'think' about it. yes.
-- like high school: for the most part i did. it's still high school, but i was pretty lucky.
-- want to get married: if it's right, yes. if i don't it'll be okay.
-- type with your fingers on the right keys: generally.
-- believe in yourself: i can't not.
-- get motion sickness: sometimes. it seems mostly to do with the amount of oxygen and how well air is circulating.
-- think you're attractive: sure.
-- think you're a health freak: ha. not likely.
-- get along with your parents: i get along with my dad. my stepmom and i are civil. on the rare occasion i speak with my mother things are mostly okay. i no longer speak to my stepdad.
-- like thunderstorms: love.
-- play an instrument: guitar, well enough. piano, enough to get by. i can find my way around on the banjo and get a sound of most instruments if nothing else.
// series six - in the past month, did/have you
-- drank alcohol: you have to ask?
-- smoke(d): no
-- done a drug: not in that sense
-- had sex: um.
-- go on a date: no.
-- go to the mall: i don't think so?
-- eaten an entire box of oreos: haven't done that in a few months. haven't bought them because i know i would.
-- eaten sushi: no. *pout* want sushi.
-- been on stage: yes
-- been dumped: no
-- gone skating: no
-- made homemade cookies: i would have if the dumb boys had cleaned the kitchen.
-- been in love: yes
-- been skinny dipping: funny. yes.
-- dyed your hair: thought about it. but no.
-- stolen anything: nope. got lots of free food from unco though.
//series seven - have you ever
-- played a game that required removal of clothing?: yes. in fact, our version of spin the bottle this summer required that.
-- if so, was it mixed company: um, yeah. duh.
-- been trashed or extremely intoxicated: in the past month... oh. wait. of course.
-- been caught "doing something": no
-- been called a tease: i don't think so
-- gotten beaten up: no
-- shoplifted: yes
-- if so, did you get caught: no
-- changed who you were to fit in: not so much. i generally just don't quite fit in.
// series eight - the future
-- age you hope to be married: not something to bother about. if it happens, it happens. part of me says late twenties is normal. part of me knows that's crazy and has just been drilled into me by society.
-- describe your dream wedding: don't have one.
almejor and i overheard some girls we know discussing their future (as in none of them are even remotely engaged) weddings. we were slightly confused, to say the least. if i had to talk about a dream wedding, it would have more to do with the right person and deep connection and love than anything else.
-- how do you want to die: please not some way that i have to anticipate it. no plane crashes or being held at gunpoint thanks.
-- what do you want to be when you grow up: happy.
-- what country would you most like to visit: there isn't just one right now. italy's always been high on the list. ireland and scotland. england. new zeland. australia. europe. i suppose i could go to china if i had to, though japan and i might get on better.

{x} current refreshment: none. wish i had coke.
{x} current worry: yes. yes yes yes.
{x} current favorite celebrity: hmm. don't have one right now? last one i think was hugh jackman when x2 came out.
