i know i shouldn't be awake, but i am still. and. i just caught the last fifteen minutes of the final episode of ally mcbeal, followed by the pilot episode, both of which i'd never seen before. can i just take a second to praise the brilliance of the musical scoring of this show? the way these two episodes bookend the series? musically? brilliant. simply brilliant. dialogue-wise, it's not bad either... bygones... yeah. why isn't this show out on dvd in the u.s.? someday i'll see more than season four and the first half of season five. plus, you know, the random bits i catch on fx when i should be sleeping. i'm such a sucker for appropriate use of music... and with that, i haul out the high fidelity icon.

*nods* i really don't get it. it's out on dvd where... in the u.k. i think, but i'm afraid to get them because of all of the region blah blah stuff i don't understand. *sigh* one day.

i used to hate vonda's voice as well, i really did. i've become more adjusted to it by this point, and so only go toward the hate when she tries singing really classic songs.

having never really watched felicity or alias, i think i'll have to put them on my list for further exploration. thanks :)
