first, much thanks to
borofish for restoring light to my no-longer-cave of a room. so much better.
pulling out of the prescription drive-thru at walgreens today, i noticed their sign read:
BACON
VITAMINS
TOMBSTONES
something about that didn't seem quite right. or at least i was amused. dunno.
dad seems to be saying he's going to buy me a computer. are there any reasons anyone can think of that i'd want anything other than a g4 laptop? i'm pushing it with the price (i got a nice voicemail tonight about remembering my opportunity costs from econ-- what my dad teaches-- and how getting an expensive computer at this point rather than a less expensive one or rebuilding the pc i have affects other stuff. which i get, but hello-- remember econ? as embarrassing as it may be for him, there's a reason i got a c in econ one term.) but it seems like what will last the longest and what will get me furthest overall. i don't know. opinions? quick though, because i have to move on this before he changes his mind.
in other news, i'm going to attempt to leave Thursday for chicago. if that doesn't happen, Friday should do. and somehow or other i will have a working tape player in place of the PIECE OF CRAP that's in there now. yes, the one i wailed on most of the way to chicago at new years (and some of the way back too) after it gave out.
it was terribly terribly good to see
borofish tonight. way over due and as usual i monopolized the conversation, but like i said, terribly good. i'm telling ya'-- that boy's a catch. good listener, good musical inclinations, stylish and everything. and i totally approve of the new hair. plus sorcha still likes him, and she only likes really *good* boys.
that's plenty for now. especially as i should get up in the morning to continue the computer debating process. that and clean my room which was one of a short list of things to do during break.
*goes off to dream about powerbooks*
